nevada ho!
so kate and i have some big news. we are moving to nevada. it is totally crazy. we have some awesome opportunities there with work (we would be transferring) and are just plain excited. there is so much to do. we are taking our time and doing things the right way but still we are looking to move by the end of summer.we are selling off our belongings (most of them) some will go to our parents houses for storage, other will be mailed, others we will take with us, we are renting a minivan for the move, we are already looking at housing and finalizing job issues. it is insane. i am so excited though, ever since moving back to ohio i have hated it. i have been wanting to move but where, texas didnt work at all. (well it did and it didnt) but we didnt know where, nevada had been tossed around a lot (more the vegas area though, now we are moving to the reno/carson city area) but it never made sense, cananda looked good (anti bush holla) but kate couldnt deal with the cold. to have this all just fall into place is crazy. i wish the planning was over and we just go (this coming from the queen of lists and planning etc) the only negative is that when i called my brother to tell him he told me he is expecting his third child (he already has twins). but the main problem with ohio has always been: we cant get living wages here so no matter how close we are to family and friends we never see them due to our crazy work schedules. nevada seems to be the opportunity to advance to stop surviving and start living. the pay is higher, cost of living lower, and there are so many advancement opportunities that i just dont have here (they are a growing market, and the person i talked to there in HR was talking phone interviews for immediate advancement) ugh i have to go to work now but i am just so excited!
