(no subject)
So anyone that's been reading my journal knows that i've been spouting foreboding doom regarding our audit, and some may have begun to believe that i'm praddling nonsense. Well it happened today. And according to Murphy's Law, it had to happen in the worst possible way imaginable...
...first of all, its Ellen's (my teller coordinator) week off. They aren't supposed to come whenever the TC or the branch manager isn't there, but apparently Jen forgot to tell them when Ellen's vacation was. And since they were already here, they decided to stay.
...secondly, we've lost so many tellers that we were operating at bare minimum (or even less) *before* Ellen left for vacation. So we were going to have a stressful week anyway.
...thirdly, jon wasn't supposed to work today. But he came in when he heard we were being audited and about #4...
...forthly, my branch manager was ill. As in, looks-like-death ill.
So jon gets to be both a teller (cuz it was just april & I on the teller side today), while simultaneously being the assistant branch manager, while he's being audited on both sides! It was frikkin crazy!
As you can imagine, today sucked royally. Long lines, the phone rigging endlessly, having to work extra slow to make sure everything's done correctly, and so forth. I didn't even get to come home for lunch (had to grab a bite of pizza in the break room instead). And the coup de grace of it all...i get to do it all over again tomorrow.
