VACATION!!!
Just checking in- sorry I haven't been able to read everyones recent events. For some reason... the internet here isn't letting me check it O__o Stupid internet!!!
But I'm in California! <3 It's so pretty here, I'm taking a lot of pictures- so no worries~! Honestly, I would've rather gone to hawaii or even seattle, but I'm glad I'm not at home, hah, apparently it's been raining EVERY day, and flooding even O___o Pooor Ginger *hugs her doggy*
Let's see, run down of events so far!
Day 1
Left Dallas, Stopped in Las Vegas, arrived at the L.A. airport, and waited for my Dad to pick us up (since he was already there for buisness), then we met with my uncle who was ALSO there on buisness, but has an aparment outside of L.A. cause he's there so often, and we went there until dinner. For dinner we went on this cruise boat, the Queen Mary, and it was fun! Except some of the stuff I was like O____O *gag* Like Liver, and Snails XD No thanks. So I got a salad.... woo... lol. Then we went to our hotel and slept.
Day 2
We drove to see the Holywood Sign, which was cool! There are so many BIG HOUSES there, that all have to be well into the millions of dollars a piece. I'm jealous. I want one. Then we went to Beverly Hills and shopped on Rodeo Drive!! WOOO! that was fun! <3 We saw them recording... er... Entertainment something? XD I didn't know who she was so apparently I don't watch that show... but anyway- it was cool, and I saw all the purple label ralph lauren dresses and laughed because mine was more expensive. The ones they had- the most expensive was $8,000 [mine's $10,000 XDD) then we drove around some more, and then we saw the sidewalk with all the stars and their names on them, ya know? And then we met my uncle for dinner again, and we talked and laughed about my crazy family, and that was fun~! Then we played minigolf, and went to the softball batting cages- surprisingly, even though I haven't played in like what, 2 years? 3 years? I could whack them out there O___o I don't know how XDD But yeah, that was cool. I got 2nd place on minigolf too wooo! *dance*
Day 3
We went to Laguna Beach!!! XD IT WAS GORGEOUS, and omgsh can you say gorgeous guys!? I've never seen so many hot rich guys in one spot..... I was like T____T OMGSH MARRY ME!!! XDDDD ahaha, yeah, but we went to this restaurant right on the coast- and sat in this room where you were overlooking the ocean, and it was amazing! O__O So blue and perfect. It was the most amazing dinner ever. And it ended up being a really expensive restaurant (of course) but I got another salad O_o it was realllly good though, it had like roasted pineapple on it. OMGSH *dies* I want more roasted pineapple, I think they put drugs in it XD But we played in the water, and watched the surfing, and then we walked around some in the gardens and stuff. It was fun~ At the hotel- I gave Alyssa a call, but missed her, I gave Justin a call and talked to him for 40 minutes, he lives in San Diego, which is where we were planning on going the next day. And then I called Heather and she gave me the 4-1-1 on everything that's been happening in Dallas. Apparently rain and bordem without me XD AWW
Day 4 [TODAY]
I woke up at 6:20 (pacific time, so 8:20 dallas time) to POLO RALPH LAUREN CALLING ME. I'm like WTAFAIKWETAEJTG?! So I answered, and I was so tired, I was like "helloooo?" and it's laura, and she's like "Hey Melissa, do you think you can come into work today??" and I'm like seriously thinking wtf.... cause I had the entire week requested off XD And I'm like "uh....... I'm in California?" and she's like "Oh!!! I didn't know!!! Ahaha Sorry about that- thanks anyway, see you later" so I hang up and I'm like O____o? WTF It was weird... ahaha. and my parents were laughing at me.... cause when I really need hours, they NEVER call me in... wtf
So we were gonna go to San Diego zoo, but got stuck in traffic, so we decided to just go to La Jolla beach, which is supposed to be one of the nicest in all of Southern Cali- and it was. Holy crap, it wasn't crowded, there were surfers, nice waves, GORGEOUS BLUE WATER, nice beaches, it was perfect! So we swam in the waves, and made sad attempts at the one kind of boarding, whatever it's called, boogie boarding? LMFAO. Yeah- so that was exciting. Okay and get this, I put on 30 spf like a few times, everywhere on my body. my face A BUNCH of times, and REGARDLESS of the endless amounts of suntan lotion. I'm STILL FREAKING RED. I HATE THE SUN sometimes. GEEZE! Like the back of my legs and part of my bottem are red, my arms and my face are red... my back is red... I'm red. GO FIGURE. AUGH T___T This is why I needed that 50spf, but of course, I left it at home... *sigh*
Anyway- we're sleeping near the mexican border tonight- and we might go into mexico tomorrow- but we might not, we might just make another attempt at the zoo XD So yeah! XD We'll see
I'll be back home on Monday! <3 So I'll see everyone when I get back
