I'll have to add you on myspace. I'm not on there much (I'm on facebook alot though). I escape into my computer too, but I suppose there are worse things I could get into.
I'm....alright. Stuck in a horrible, bingy place. I haven't in two days, though. Taking diet pills, lax, exercising daily...it never ends. I've been better with the ed thoughts and behaviors and I've been worse. I guess I'm just treading middle ground.
Are you still working at the restaurant? Going to school or anything?
No school, i'm working at a bar/grill now. We got rated best burger in ohio by food network!!! it occupies alot of my time. I'm planning on traveling to europe next year.
That's cool that you were rated best burger in ohio by food network. For all my aversion and weirdness about food I am fascinated by that channel. Traveling to Europe? Lucky!
Work (teachng) occupies most of my time. Other than that I hang out at home mostly. Sadly no love life. I'm interested in a guy, but I am SO shy that it's going nowhere.
No apologies needed. I had to ask you where you were working, too! I teach special ed. students (most of them have autism), kindergarten through 4th grade.
It's a great job, even though it can be exhausting at times.
That's an excellent question....there is not enough scientific evidence to prove that vaccinations cause autism. There is a family I know that have two children with autism, the first vaccinated, the second was not.
There are absoultely valid reasons for children to get vaccinations and valid reasons to not get them (some vaccinations are cultured in eggs and many children with autism are allergic, so they shouldn't get them). I think parents should use caution when getting vaccinations for their child, space them out rather than get them all at once. I also think it is unneccesary for a kid to get vaccinations for something like the flu and chicken pox because even if they are vaccinated they could still get it (other than stuff like H1N1). I bet that's more answer than you wanted.... :-)
If I knew they were 100% safe I wouldn't question their use at all or if we lived in a disease ridden country and they saved lives...but we don't. My friend took her kid in once and they gave him like 6 at once. She was SO mad! Then they screwed up the charts and wanted to give him more on his next visit. I think it is completely up to the family and they shouldn't be made to feel they have to choose one or the other.
And i love you that much more now that we've had that conversation. I like the way your brain works:) I'm definitly not for multiple shots at once! I feel like that is soo risky in any case!
And I love you! The medical community is too quick to use meds, vaccinations, etc. in my opinion. I won't even let the vet give my dog multiple vaccinations and will only give the ones I absutely have to give as required by law. Don't know what I'll decide if I ever have kids, but I certainly won't go into it blindly!
