Disclaimer: All of this is based off of speculation and lack of motivation to my English homework.
A/N: This is all none sense and what happens when I talk to Adam instead of doing my English homework. I have nothing against the McDonald's food chain or clowns. Nor do I have anything against orphaned children.

When Ronald McDonald was 18 and finished high school, he went to Mrs. McDonald and said "Mam, I think I want to become a clown."
This notion came to him when he was volunteering at the local orphanage. He had found a bright red wig and wore it around, making jokes for the little kids and everyone knows that happier children are more likable to be adopted.
His mom looked at him shocked.
"Ronald," She said, "You have a full ride scholarship to Harvard, and you want to waste that knowledge in CLOWN school?"
Ronald nodded and looked sheepishly at his mother. "Yes, Mam, I want to make little kids smile."
"But being a clown is not a respectable job!" His mom said. "You'll be ridiculed by adults everywhere."
"But I'll make the children happy! That's what I want!"
"If that is what you truly want," His mother said, "Then go on with your life, but you will soon find I was right."
So Ronald McDonald went to Clown College and came home, dressed in his uniform, red nose and all. His mother was appalled, but his father, who had just recently opened a hamburger joint, decided that his son's appearance would make a great attribute to the restaurant, drawing kids in for miles.
So Ronald was recruited into his father's business as the spokesperson for the children's meals.
But to this day, behind that great big smile of Ronald McDonald, a sad, tearful face remains. For after his father recruited him, his mother died of heartbreak that her son would never accomplish anything more in his life than being a clown.
