well, i have a little less than a week left in boise and not much to show for my summer. i've only saved a meager amount (even though i've spent little) and haven't had much of a social or intellectual life to speak of. i've enjoyed spending rare times with the friends i have here, but i'm also wise enough to know this was the last summer i'll be returning.
on Friday we went out for my mom's 47th birthday. it was lots of fun and i think she had a good time. my sister and i got her some dolce and gabanna light blue and a necklace and i made my famous cosmos when she got home from work. i love my mom and i hope i age half as well as she does- inside and out!
my mom and sister are at our friends condo at the canyons in park city right now and i'm enjoying the peace and quiet. i've been writing a lot and reading tender is the night. it's so glam and i love it.
i am going with my mom to see rod stewart on saturday night. i think it will be fun. although its pretty dorky and i'm not exactly a rod stewart fan, maggie may is one of my favorite songs of all time, and i know she's thrilled that i'm going.

Colin called me last week and informed me that many of the graduating production and sound engineering majors at Seattle Art Institute are interested in recording an album with us after hearing some of our demos. So, I'll be flying up there sometime soon to work on what will probably turn into an EP. I'm pretty excited and having something to work for actually stimulates me creatively a lot. i would really like to be a rock star at some point in my life.
collateral is a great movie! go see it! i also really like my car and the killers right now. in one week i'll be driving to my new life in LA and i like that the most.
