Kinda a strange weekend... not sure if it can be summarized. It was good, the weather was wonderful, even when it was stormy and dark, then bright and clear today. I love love love the wind.
I 'procured' a ridiculous amount of nick drake-- everything not on his 3 albums. The most beautiful, un-Dylan-esque version of 'Don't think twice, its alright'... That's the highlight so far.
Friday: Cooking vegan brownies; a distgusting failure, but we had fun. Then made good vegan choc chip cookies. Smoking hash, talking and getting comfortable here. Good stuff. I like the people I live with more and more. Then, FRAN... two kids I know played. Guitar and vocals, had a nice time. I could place most of the people there. Granted, I live with half of them.
Food Not Bombs, Saturday. On the whole, I was happy that it happened. The kid that was supposed to bring the main sustenance didn't show, so we had to go on an expedition to find bread, peanut butter and jelly. All worked out, a few people showed, we talked and asked them to spread the word. So next week should be awesome... And i'm making banana bread out of the left-over fruit. Yum.
Cleaned the showers today, which was a bitch and took forever. I was a little anal about it. But now they're clean, and it won't be so bad for whoever does it next week. Hours and hours of philosophy reading. Laundry and room cleaning. Very productive... good dinner, then more reading and meeting. It doesn't feel like another week has past. But then last weekend feels like a lifetime ago.
Not really ready for the week to begin again, but I think time keeps moving without my approval. Sadly. So I better finish up my work and go to sleep.
