Into the Darkest Night
A single scream was uttered
But not a soul heard the sound -- such a heart wrenching sound.
It came once and only once
And left a throat hoarse with raw emotion and bitter betrayal.
Closing eyes,
The Darkness swallowed everything -- seeped into the very depths of the soul.
If no one heard such a pitiful scream -- such a sorrowful cry --
Why continue?
Eyes closed and heart broken,
No other sound was uttered in the darkest night...
No one would hear anyways...
