Homophones, Lysdexia, and Slash
Procrastination can yield fantastic results.
On a whim, I googled "slash".
slashdot.org is "a news site for nerds."
slash.org is a computer services site. "Did you know? Slash.org can design your entire network, servers and workstations to meet your exact requirements?"
One of the google results informs us that "Rolling Stone gives you total Slash coverage including free music, videos, photos, music news and exclusive Rolling Stone articles."
A blog post came up, declaring, "Ask An Alpha Male, Slash Faclon Teaches you to be a MAN!"
In my laughter-crazed state, I misread this, thinking it said "Slash Fiction Teaches you to be a MAN!"
I clicked on the link and was somewhat disappointed. Ah, well. Take it like a man, as they say.
And does anyone remember that big news story a year or two ago when everyone was talking about the lemon shortage in California?
(For those of you that didn't know, "lemon" is another term that is basically synonymous with PWP. It literally means a sex scene.)
