ITALIA
Pictures are finally up! Sorry it took so long!
For those who don't know, I spent the month of May in Perugia, Italy on a scholarship from the Grand Rapids Sister Cities Program. studied a little Italian (un po) but the most rewarding part was making new friends and experiencing the culture and atmosphere of the great nation of Italy! The food was super-good, too.....
Here are my roommates! Giuhi (S. Korea), Itzel (Mexico), Krista (Kentucky), and Bistra (Bulgaria).
(I think Sabrina was working so there will be pics of her later)
PERUGIA
This is where I livedIt was so beautiful when I first arrived...not to mention fragrant! And we can't forget all the cats......who kept us awake with their ferocious promiscuity.
Here we have the famous arch, the famous fountain, and the famous pastries. Here is part of the universitywhere I made friends with Marcel (from Germany)and Nathalie (Holland) and Brownie (Norway).
There were
little surprises everywhere,
from the lizards sunning themselves outside the convent to sewer diving during the Archeological Festival. There was so much to look at along the road:historic architecture, rustic living,
and
graffitiall over everywhere...
Assisi
The Bascillica of St. Francis, of courseAnd from the castleI
got to see it from aboveas well as this awesome view! And this one... A lovely town indeed.
Of course there are more, but that's all for now. I will have more up by the end of the week (God willing!)
Thanks for stopping by!
