Today we went to
Iron Down Farm, near Deddington, from where we get our meat at the Farmers' Market.
Here are some pet lambs, one of which let me pet his wool (gorgeous and curly) and then attempted to suckle all my fingers. He then went on to suckle the trainer of the little boy in this picture, whose name was Thomas, and told us all about the sheep.
Two more, slightly older lambs, one called Fingummabob (sic)
There were various chickens in cages for show just for the day
There were sheep, awaiting shearing
...and being sheared
Adorably sleepy Gloucester Old Spot piglets, all clean and snorgleable
And on the way out, we were lucky to catch a glimpse of some very shy ducklings dashing back to their straw
