Just another Monday morning, you can do it all over again

Today I bought the local rag for the first time in years, because the headline was all bout darwinian_woman's No. 10 petition! She's even interviewed in it, and Oxfordshire PCT look like the total burkes they are. Woo ( Read more... )

Dye the yarn THEN knit it into a cardi. Then if the dyeing doesn't go to plan, you can make hexagons/give away. I would be immensely frustrated if I knitted a lovely thing then accidentally dyed it a worse colour than before...

It was me who was looking for the tops, and I got a couple of them a few weeks back.

I wouldn't mind buying a couple of balls of the cotton glace from you to make my cardi a bit less cropped than it will otherwise have to be. Or I could swap you three balls of sort-of fuchsiay pink for three balls of lilac if you wanted different colours to play with for other projects?

Ah, yes. I think my boss was too, though, so I'll tell her tomorrow.
I'd be more than happy to swap for colours - I am determined to make this throw eventually!

Sadly, the journalists also look quite a lot like berks. It took me quite some time to work out who the four men they were talking about were meant to be... still, yayness!

Ah, that bit hadn't registered with me. Bugger. However, Oxford Mail and Times are hardly known (to me, at least) for standards of journalistic rigour and wotnot - cf Friday's Times leader about the Depository.
I think I got distracted by the bollocks about GRS - ""There's limited evidence of the long-term effectiveness of surgical treatment to support funding." Er, do what? Do penises magically regrow or something?

I would keep the cotton for other projects, because I hear that dyring cotton is hard, or takes a lot more work.

I think you're right, really. Though I wish my crochetting was better, I really love that throw (Erika Knight Hexagon throw). It's so difficult, dammit!
