Yesterday I was at the front of the group exercise class as usual, expecting our regular
BodyJam instructor to arrive. He showed up with two other instructors, which I found a bit odd (BodyJam instructors usually teach alone, or with one other instructor at most, because the class isn't too difficult that they need to take turns to breathe. Usually the second instructor is just the "shadow", or they go on stage kasi trip lang nila) . Then I noticed it was getting more crowded than usual. And that there were balloons decorating the stage. And then...
"Welcome to the launch for
BodyAttack, a high-intensity workout..."
Me (thinking): "High-intensity"? Oh no, ano 'tong napasukan ko?
I stuck it out anyway, and I'm glad I did. Damn right it's "high-intensity". Grabeng cardio ito! One hour of pure agony "jumpy movements" (hahaha basta laging may talon)! Well...except for the track near the middle where we had to do around 88 push ups.
Mader Fhe: "Tricep pushups! Eight!"
(stretching break)
Mader Fhe: "Now, sixteen!...Twenty-four!"
Me (thinking): "Homaygaaaaaaad..."
Mader Fhe: "Chest naman! Sixteen!"
Yun ang agony! Hahahaha! Suddenly
BodyCombat and
RPM aren't so challenging anymore. BodyAttack is the most strenuous
Les Mills program ever. When I got home, I weighed myself and found that I lost two pounds. @_@ With dinner and one tumbler of water na yun ah.
And the best part is, I've still kept the weight off! Booya!
So far there is only one BodyAttack class scheduled in Fitness First Ortigas, Mondays at 5:30 PM (replacing BodyJam). If I do it every week, and I watch what I eat, how much weight will I lose kaya? Hmmmmm.
