This is going to sound really ambitious, maybe even stupid, and I'm kind of expecting some of you to go "WTF" while reading this entry.
So anyway. I was planning to do the following after graduation:
- weekdays - programming work at BlastAsia, until something better comes along.
- Tuesday and Friday nights, chorale rehearsals at UA&P.
- weekends - voice lessons
- And when I get enough money maybe I'll even study music at UP. My mom's voice coach told her that those who have degrees can complete the course in a year. (Or something like that, I'll look it up na lang)
- Get a record deal (I wish)
But then I listened to the Original Broadway Cast recording of
Wicked: The Musical and I thought, "Tangina mehn, the role of Elphaba (The Wicked Witch of the West) was written for meeeeeeh." And out of all the songs in the musical, I liked Elphaba's the best. Hell, my voice fits her songs the best. And now I'm wishing that Wicked will be around for maybe 10 years or so (Can musicals run for more than 10 years? Or is 10 years the maximum?) so I can at least get a chance to play Elphie. And...and...Elphie is green! (whut) It makes perfect sense! If I knew how to act, that is.
New assignment: take acting lessons. Ang gastos naman ng pangarap ko, hassle. I know I sound crazy but I'm totally serious. Shut up. Hahaha.
Wicked premiered on Broadway in October 2003. If it does run for 10 years, I have eight years to go. Crap. Can I do that in eight years? Is it even possible?
