I just found out from one of my aunts that Nikki Gil is my niece pala. Because earlier, my aunt was showing my other aunts a Coca-Cola promo pic which was signed, "Mommy! I love you! Nikki Gil"
*Shock*
Me: "Ano po, pinsan ko po siya?"
And my aunt was like, "Ah...bale pinsan ko ang daddy mo diba, tapos si Nikki, apo ko...kaya pamangkin mo siya."
And I just had to laugh because I remember
i_s_c_a_r_i_o_t telling us how hot he finds Nikki. Ahahahahaha! Mito, kung alam ko lang. Pero kay Toni Gonzaga ka na yata eh. O sa iba na ba. Papalit-palit yata. Hahahaha.
We were at a great aunt's wake (my lola Miguela - or "Ditseng Gelay", as we fondly called her) kasi. And I just noticed...we're an incredibly cheerful family. Or at least my relatives on my dad's mother's side are. Even during wakes, you wouldn't see anyone crying or looking glum (but not at the funeral, of course. Hehehe). It'd be like a fiesta instead - lots of food for everyone, plus beer for the men (Come to think of it, I've never seen the women in our family drink. Except my sister, hahaha). Ah, and did I mention the videoke? I wonder if we're the only ones who do that. I hope not. It's not like we're celebrating the death of someone...it's probably how we cope with the loss. Haha, defensive.
Back to Nikki: I wanted to be the first one in our family with an album/record deal (Lucio San Pedro doesn't count! Hehehe). Awww sayang. I heard from my sister that my cousin Felix was a "recording artist in the making" but that was a year ago and I still haven't heard any of his songs. I wonder what happened. Oh well, good luck to them. Sana maka kanta na rin ako.
(Ang labo naman ng entry na 'to, palipat-lipat ng topic)
