Our driver's five-year old son, Goyong, started having convulsions last year (probably because he fell hard on his head, but we're not really sure about the cause). Goyong can't be left to play alone with other kids, because his parents never know when he's gonna have another convulsion. He can't start going to school yet either. And when I think about this sweet little kid, I can't help but feel reeeeaaaaally sad. When I was five years old, I was in Prep: working on some really bad drawings, playing in the sandbox with the other kids, pretending to be Yellow 4 with other Bioman-wannabes, hanging upside down from the monkey bars...you get the picture. And I don't think it's fair that Goyong isn't really able to enjoy his childhood. Sometimes, we get him little Happy Meal toys when we eat at McDo. They're tacky, but Goyong gets a big smile on his face when he's given a new one. Toys are the only things he gets to play with. Sad.
Off-topic 1: I just realized that I ate nothing but McDo food all day.
