Okay, really it should be stupid me, but it's more fun to blame a weather formation than to admit my own carelessness. I, assuming it would still be a tiny bit wet and blustery at 7-8a.m., did not set my alarm for this morning. I therefore rolled out of bed around 8:30, saw that it was kinda beautiful outside, grabbed my phone, looked up the website, and saw the clear-as-the-day message that beach yoga was indeed still on. So not only did I miss class for the first time, I also missed the awesome waves left behind by the sub tropical depression, or whatever it was when it hit us. Grrrr. Next week is the last week of the session. If it rains for real, I'll have to wait until next year for my next sandy yoga/swim session. Stupid me.
Lucy's stitches on her back legs are finally healing after a semi-emergency vet trip Friday. She's almost on 2 weeks since the surgery and she's getting along quite well with the cone collar she's been wearing. It's cute how she barrels through everything like she has a battering ram attached to her head. This is a great improvement over the first couple days of continuously walking into, and getting stuck on, everything. Little houdini hound has even figured out how to free herself from her triple latched kennel while Jim and I are at work. She's truly a wonder of the canine world.
The stitches come out Saturday, just before we head out to the great nebhr basset waddle. Fun stuff.
I'm deep in fall mode already. It makes me happy. Perhaps, if this posting via phone thing works, I can babble more about my seasonal hopes, dreams, goals, and current accomplishments at another time.
Nights.
