Mattias’ eyes widened when he saw the two of them together. A sick burning feeling filled his stomach. He dropped the flower that he was so excited to show Villian and dashed away. Suddenly the floral life didn’t seem as important as it did mere moments ago.
He didn’t even notice that Villian had heard his hurrying footsteps and had then completely abandoned his date to follow. He was so occupied with trying to escape the area as quickly as possible that it came to a complete shock to him when his arm was suddenly grabbed from behind. He turned and saw that his captor was the same man that he’d been speeding away from.
“Villian… What’s up?” he asked, trying his best to be nonchalant. He could see that Villian wasn’t fooled, and that he probably wouldn’t have been even without the tears slipping from his eyes.
The man holding onto his arm ignored this stupid question and pulled him closer, releasing the tight grip on his arm to cup his face instead.
Mattias blinked at him before averting his gaze, as another tear dislodged itself from his lashes and trickled onto Villian’s fingers.
“Mattia,” he heard Villian’s voice say gently, though he was still looking away. His heart beat uncomfortably fast in his chest, almost hurting. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Villian lean in closer, and his gaze snapped back onto the man holding him just as their lips met. He sank against him, feeling lighter, the horrible twisting feeling in his gut also subsiding. His eyes closed, the last of his tears squeezing between his eyelids.
After a few seconds of this peaceful bliss, Mattias felt an extra tear on his cheek that he knew wasn’t his own. Their kiss ended, and Villian was caressing his face looking happier than Mattias had ever seen him, and he had known Villian for as far back as he could remember.
“Oh Matt,” he said, and Mattias’ eyes instinctively slid shut again when Villian leaned in for another kiss. A sigh escapes Mattias when he felt Villian pull him closer and tighter against his chest. He was close enough to feel Villian’s heart beating almost as fast as his own. He didn’t really understand what was going on, but he found it didn’t matter. At the moment he barely remembered where or who he was, as only Villian, and his soft lips and strong arms around him, filled his mind leaving hardly room for anything else.
It was right when he was granting Villian’s tongue access that the memory of that girl from earlier flashed in his mind. It took all of Mattias’ willpower -- and then some -- to pull away from Villian. Mattias’ whole body and mind wanted to simply shut down and surrender to Villian’s every whim and this instinct proved harder than he could imagine to fight against.
Villian’s disappointed look when Mattias stopped everything made him want to give in to him again, but he’d come this far. “Villian, what about … that girl?”
Villian appeared to be genuinely confused. “Who?”
Mattias binked at him, his turn to be confused. “You know … From a minute ago?”
Silence.
“Oh, right. We were just flirting,” Villian responded in an off hand manner, pulling Mattias in for another kiss as if that had closed the matter.
Mattias was surrendering to him again before stopping Villian right before it was too late.
“But--”
“Mattia, until you brought her up I’d completely forgotten her,” Villian cut him off, sounding impatient now.
If Mattias hadn’t known Villian for his whole life he’d worry next about where that left him, but even he knew that was a foolish thing to worry about, not to mention that at the moment Villian was making sure that even he knew how much the white haired man wanted him, and it was getting very hard to focus on anything but on what was being pressed against his lower regions. “Um, ‘kay,” he responds quickly, wanting to return to the sweet kisses from before.
Villian obliged him. After longing for Mattias for so many years, even these tender kisses were more than he could ever ask for. … For now, anyway.
