I'm going to murder someone. I got a call from the estate agents, whom we've paid £150 to do a job in processing the flat application, when their main company who collects the details says that we need another guarantor for the flat other than Simon's Dad. Why? Because he's self-employed but hasn't provided accounting details, therefore they don't know how much he earns/if he's appropriate.
a) I saw with my own eyes that Dad's application had his accountant's name and number on it.
b) the estate agent reviewed our application before sending it off to the main company.
c) my suspicion is that this company rang the accountant's office once and couldn't get a hold of Dad's accountant and gave up. In that case, what are we paying you £150 for??
I just want this frigging sorted and these people are morons. This comes on the heel of the Inland Revenue's cock-up six months ago, when they failed to send my form requesting a direct debit with my bank so I can pay my National Insurance contributions, you know, so I don't go down for fraud?
I can rely on myself, but not others. This is not a shock, I'm just menstrual and want to run into a cave and sleep. Or go on a ravenous blood-letting and then sleep.
