I'm not an overly religious person. Spiritual, yes, religious, not so much. However, one of my few strict observances is what I do for Lent. Don't ask me why, but it is one thing I do take seriously even if I find most of the premises of organized religion to be overwrought with the need to dominate via fear and sexism. That being said, I have yet to determine what I will be sacrificing for Lent this year. In the past I have successfully given up caffeine, chocolate, and a few other things. However, this time around, I'm not exactly sure what my plan of attack should be. I've already had 2 caffeinated beverages this morning so that's been eliminated. I think I can try for bread. That will be a huge one for me to give up being that I'm more of a bread addict than I am any form of sugary sweet.
