Wow! Who ordered the hurricane?

High velocity clouds of water are zooming horizontally past my front window. It's like my next door neighbor turned on a fire hose. Did we know this was coming?

It's coming from the southwest, which is weird too. A Sou'wester?

Ooh! Thunder.

eta: And... we just lost power. Bother.

We've got bits of house all over the yard.

Um? How are you posting on an electrical-type powered computer if you lost power? Or was it a blip or flicker off-on like the several we had?

I have the computer plugged into a UPS, so I had the time to add the afternote before I had to shut everything down.
