Up and At 'Em...
Woke up at 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep. It was too warm under the covers, too cold outside 'em, and I just couldn't let go of a whole jumble of thoughts. Plus, I must've slept on my neck funny, because it hurts. I finally caved and got up. I did go to bed by ten last night, and fell asleep not long after, so that's part of it. Still, I don't understand why I have so much trouble staying asleep on weekends and days when I don't have to get up, and yet always sleep right up until the alarm on work days. Anyway, here I am.
Probably just as well. Lots to do this weekend. Still four more batches of truffles to make, and then I have to dip all of them. Christmas shopping is done as far as I can tell. Over the years I've kept a spreadsheet of my gift lists. It served as both a checklist for the current year, and a way of making sure I didn't give the same present two years in a row. I'm pretty sure I added to it last year, but I can't find that version, and it's been bugging me. It's like there's a hole in my memories. Not that it makes much difference, because most of the adults are getting the same thing this time around, but there's the principle of the thing.
On the plus side, I don't have to be back at work until January 2.
I wonder if the Dunkies up the road is open yet?
eta: Did the best of both worlds. Coffee from Dunkin and doughnuts from Allie's.
