"KEY WORD INTERVIEW"
As usual --> Please be noted that I found this interview in a Thai magazine who had translated it from the original Japanese. I'm just translating it to English. Therefore, there might be several mistakes in translations and such. I'm sorry in advanced if there are any (> <)
SCHOOL
You have all experienced school-life, how was it?
MITSURU: I used to be in the basketball team!
yuji: Liar (laugh).
MITSURU: I really was! I was center!! (laugh)
Takeru: I was also in the basketball team.
Chiyu: I was on the volleyball team as setter for about 3 years. I was actually supposed to become team captain (laugh).
Takeru: Really? (laugh)
Chiyu: Probably wouldn't have competed against anyone.
MITSURU: Actually, I was only on for a year and quit.
Chiyu: I thought so (laugh).
Takeru: Our team did compete against others; we got into the best 8!
yuji: Wow, impressive!
Takeru: We were okay...not that great. Traveling to other schools to compete representing our school, just like in Slam Dunk (laugh).
yuji: I was in music club.
masato: I was in the go-home-early club (laugh). I wasn't good in any sports, so I always went home early. It's actually not good to live like that. In fact, it's really painful (laugh).
How did your studies go?
MITSURU: In my first year of college, I dropped about ten credits in order to make time for music and the band.
yuji: I just let things happen according to the rhythm of life. I'm not really serious about it.
masato: If you rank by scores, I was mostly in the top.
Takeru: I get it. So, if there were about 200 people, you'd probably be at around 60, right? (laugh)
masato: Yes. I'd only do well in the classes I liked. If I didn't like the class, I wouldn't be able to do it at all.
Chiyu: I'm better outside of textbooks, such as beautifying* and music. Let's not talk about the five subjects you study in school (laugh).
UNLESS
(If you didn't become...)
Pretend you hadn't become musicians, what would you be doing?
MITSURU: I've always liked outer space. I'd like to join and work at NAZA. But it probably won't be easy since everyone who works there has to be really good at studying.
masato: A beautician*. I could learn all different techniques and adapt them for myself (laugh).
Chiyu: An animal trainer. I dreamt of this since primary school. I really enjoy going to aquariums.
yuji: I've thought of this since preschool (laugh), a tailor!
Takeru: I'd like to be a writer, but it'll probably be just a dream. Since we're in the real world right now, I'd like to perform my best as a musician.
What about other careers?
Chiyu: A salary man.
Takeru: You don't really look like one (laugh), yuji on the other hand...
Chiyu: What about masato-kun?
masato: What have I got to do with it!?
Chiyu: Maybe an insurance saleman would be good
Takeru: Thought we'd stop talking about this, but you still decide to say something about the topic (laugh).
masato: That's enough, let's move on.
yuji: But I think that having a face like Takeru probably won't allow you to have a normal job like other people (laugh)
Chiyu: I wonder what you could do...?
GROWN UP
(Being an adult)
How would you feel if you were older than now?
Takeru: I'd feel good, because you can't drink as a kid.
masato: How about food, let's not talk about alcohol (laugh)
Takeru: Then...how about barbecued and fried things?
Chiyu: Instantly makes me want to eat Sukiyaki (laugh)
Takeru: Look, just like a kid (laugh)
Chiyu: I'll save it for New Year's then, so it'll go with the festival.
EVERYONE: You still haven't stopped acting like a kid (laugh)
MITSURU: When I was 16, I planned to run away from home.
yuji: I've thought of that too.
Takeru: Most kids have probably thought of it. I once fought with my mom and thought of running away. But when thinking about the consequences I had to accept that it was too risky.
MITSURU: After listening to my mom, I understood a lot and accepted her reasoning.
The new album will be released this coming December?
Takeru: Us, five, have worked very hard on the songs and hope that all fans will enjoy them.
Chiyu: It's guaranteed that they cover every emotion, especially enjoyment.
masato: Let's enjoy it fully!
There will also be a live concert on January 12, what are some things you are expecting?
masato: The feeling you get when you open a present and it contains something you've been wanting.
Chiyu: The feeling of performing a one-man would be good.
MITSURU: I'd like many fans to come.
yuji: I'd like an encore at the end, where we come out wearing t-shirts...actually, i'd really like band t-shirts.
Takeru: I want everyone to enjoy the concert and end with an impressive party!

Notes:
*beautifying - what beauticians do -- I'm not sure what the correct word for that is XD
I compared the interview with the original, and quite a few lines are missing :(
I hope you enjoyed it nevertheless.....
