Neither the Doctor nor the Master has ever put much effort into being good at this, though.

I love any comparison of the two of them to the rest of the Timelords. And I love people who don't ignore that the last members of this mighty and ancient race are renegades and troublemakers and never really had much use for said mighty and ancient race while it was around.

And the drinking was quite good. Quite good indeed. I'm feeling a bit lemon-and-bricky myself, now...

This is amazing. I need to reread. Oh my god, so many things to love about this. The chess game is fucking cool, for one, but so is everything else so it's a bit unfair to mention just that, but, uh. *incoherence*
