Even though there are still two and a half weeks for you guys to write, I've already received several fic submissions (yay!), as well as several related questions. So I figure I'd better post this now so everyone's on the same page. Please refer back to this post before sending in your fic.
It's recommended, though not strictly necessary, that you have your fic beta read (it doesn't have to be by a dwsanta participant) prior to submitting it. Your beta must keep the identity of the fic you wrote secret until author reveals, the same as you have to. If you're using someone who is easily identifiable as your usual beta, I'd suggest that you don't thank your beta by name in the header until the author reveals. We want this to be super-secret, remember? :D :D I will personally be reading over all fics to make sure they comply with the relevant requests and have at least clearly been proofread and spellchecked, but with 40 to 50 or so fics coming in, don't expect me to have time to give your fic a thorough beta myself.
To submit your fic, please send it to me by email at queen_of_the_castle_77 [at] hotmail.com. It'll make my life much easier if you include any html tags for italics, bold, etc yourself. LJ only allows about 10,000-11,000 words per post, so if your fic is larger than this, please split it into parts. You can send fics in .doc, .docx, .rtf or .txt files. If, for some reason, it's not possible for you to send the fic in one of these types of files, please email me and we can work something else out.
You must include the following header somewhere in your submission (though you can delete the 'warnings' and 'author's notes' sections if they aren't applicable):
To: [your recipient's LJ name]
From: [your LJ name, for my reference and to be added once author reveals are posted]

Warnings: [you must warn for clearly trigger-related things like non-con, torture, etc. The rest I leave up to you.]

I will be posting all fics to the
dwsanta comm on your behalf during the month of December, so once you've written and submitted your fic, it's just a matter of keeping a look-out at the comm and of enjoying all the fics being posted. Have fun!
