I enjoy the hell out of this episode. It's not the best-plotted, or the best-scienced, but it's got cat nuns (who hiss and wave their claws very cutely when cornered), the Face of Boe, the introduction of the "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" catchphrase and the "little shops" running gag, the first of Ten's many snogs (and the debut of his post-snog gobsmacked expression), Billie Piper doing *terrible* Cockney rhyming slang, and David Tennant making Graham Norton look like Chuck Norris. :-)

How bad is the science in this episode on a scale of one to ten?

Pret-ty bad. But then turning on Doctor Who and expecting to see painstaking, realistic application of science is like going to a doughnut shop looking for pizza.

What did you think of Cassandra this time around? We see more of her in this episode and she also has some development. Did you think it was well done? What about the implied time loop of the last person to ever tell her she's beautiful being... her? Was that a sweet ending, or just a bit weird?

How about sweet *and* weird?

Who makes the funniest Cassandra? Zoe Wanamaker, Billie Piper, David Tennant, that guy who plays Chip?

To me it's a tossup. I loved Billie's turn, but David's was hysterical. I think David made a remark in a commentary or something, to the effect of, "Oh God, Zoe's going to kill me when she sees this." :-)

In this episode Ten kisses Rose, reforms the bad guy, sees the birth of a new species and saves the day by hugging. It's pretty much all downhill from here for him isn't it?

I dunno... there's ups and downs throughout his era. Rather more dramatic ones than any other Doctor's had so far, I think, but still.
