This one's sort of a stealth favourite of mine - took a while for it make an impression, but somewhere along the line it just snuck up on me and, yeah. XD
Spoilers for Planet of the Ood and a little bit for Army of Ghosts.
Also warnings for Gwen-poking and random Adric-love.
(
Out of that whole pantheon, if I believe in one thing, just one thing... I believe Balrogs really do wear fluffy slippers )
It's still the oldest civilisation in the galaxy, though, according to him, and you wouldn't send colonists back to settle in the past, would you? So he'd still consider it practically the same thing...
I think it's less them, as such, and more their 'happy slave' attitude.
That's what I mean, that's what creeps her out about them. She keeps trying to make connections with them because she wants there to be more to them than that, and then they won't be creepy.
Well, and the devil speaking through them...
Well, that is scary. But it's also later.
It really is a pity she couldn't be there.
Cloen can tell her the story, though.
I thought so, too! There's just something about the delivery there.
It's just cos they're the Ood! They're even cute when they're scary!
LOL I think it's more to do with taunting Toby, though. What you don't see is always more frightening than what you do.
Especially when what you don't see is an angel.
But yes. That's exactly the intent, but it's the delivery again, it just sounds self-pitying.
It's kind of his home now.
Yup. I'm trying to remember which episode I have quotage coming up for that in... oh, probably VotD. "I was recently made homeless... and there was the Earth." Though I'm sure there's a "well" or a "sort of" or both in the first bit of the sentence somewhere.
Maybe a bit of both? :(
Oh, definitely. *hugs* Don't worry, he'll fix it.
When the Moxx of Balhoon gave her the gift of bodily saliva in The End of the World, she just wiped her eye and kept going instead of pitching a hissy or even making a sharp comment to the Doctor about it like most other companions would have.
Ooh, she did, yeah! Funny, cos that was another ep where she went off to make friends with, well, I suppose you'd say "the help". Though I don't like to, it's quite a horrid word... But yeah. Rose is awesome like that.
It also... is it a 21st-century thing, I wonder? Cos Westerners in general are a fair bit more understanding of differing customs and such now than we were half a century ago, I'd have thought.
Speaking of Protein 1. I put that on a grocery list once, as I like to add random non-food or imaginary items just for fun (like a pony or gagh), and my mother called me over thinking it was a real food item she hadn't heard of and I had to remind her about this bit of the episode.
*snicker* That is awesome!
Why does anyone ever ask a question like that? You're only daring the universe to answer you.
Yup. It's as bad as saying "They'll never ever split us up."
Splitting again because LJ can't keep up...
It tuned out after another half-hour of ranting from your icon. Although, to be fair, it's not his fault that Eleven snuck back along his own timeline to steal all the cereal. *pouts*
