Okay... so it's been FOREVER since I updated last. Well... I'm updating again because I feel really... well... rejected. Is there something so wrong with me that I am unattractive in anyway? If there is please let me know... I want to know so I can fix it. I'm tired of being shot down. I'm not trying to sound self-centered, but you'd think ( Read more... )

Hang in there. anonymous July 18 2005, 21:47:13 UTC
Let's break down your points individually:

1. Relationship: Yes, you are an attractive, talented, nice person. Given this, why no relationships? Who you hang around: No offence but your circle YOU choose to hang around limits you. One of your friends pointed out the HS girl thing. If you don't date there, who do you hang with? When you limit yourself, the ocean is a lot smaller. Quite frankly, having your TINY circle of friends leaving could/should be the best thing for you depending on how YOU deal with it. You could do the "woe is me" thing and be very unhappy or you can go get some new friends. Get involved in a group at your university, etc. Time to put up or sit down.

2. Band: Time to set the record straight. Get the band members together and have it out. To make it, all (that's everyone) the band members have to do it, not the promoter, manager, etc. Having "fans" telling you that you are good gets you nowhere. As long as you have members in your band who choose the girlfriends over practice or who are unwilling to sacrifice for the greater good of the group, you're done. Solve the internal problems and then get off ALL of your asses and go get gigs. Again, the "woe is me" thing is very destructive and gets you nowhere. If you can’t get the members of the band to get on board, let the train leave the station WITH YOU ON IT. Move on, there are other bands that would kill for your talents. You own the other guys the info that you need to do this.

You have way too many good things going for you to dwell on the negative. You have loving family members, friends, and cats. Don't be the "glass is half empty" guy. You know which guy you should be. Get a different glass. Love ya!!!
