Nice day

Today one of my patients had a posterior MI which is really does not happen often, so his right coronary artery was blocked, there was a pretty good size clot in the way which allowed some blood flow but obvious not enough to prevent damage to the heart muscle. The angiogram and stent placement was pretty efficient and didn't last as long as I had expected. It's amazing how much ST elevation in the V4R lead there was when the MI was happening, a little bit after the stent placement, his ECG was pretty normal. I am really happy the team was able to help him out. He was too young to be having a MI in the first place. Alot of things happen in my line of work that really makes me think about how I want to take care my own life and not let it all go with instant gratification. It really puts things in perspective.
