Rather dark. The framing events of the Third Doctor's life, around the themes of his exile and his fashion sense. Some slash, adult content, but really more of a character study. I've been enraptured lately with the fact that the Pertwee era is fun, madcap, James Bond-style adventure on the surface, but there's all this trauma and angst surrounding that regeneration, which is mentioned but never fully approached.
The title, and the fragments I've used to head up sections, are from T.S. Eliot, "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock."
