This is my third entry into the challenge and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. I was fortunate to work with amypond45 for the beautiful story she wrote. The story revolves around idiots in love and the visuals that the author mentioned were so tempting that I immediately claimed the fic. Here's at a lance at how the final piece came to life.

1. Step 1 was to find a correct background and create a cut out of the boys to fit the scene of Sam and Dean laying in bed, all sweet.  It took some time because I had to work on getting the details right. I changed the tone and temperature and added a light hue to get the basic rough draft of the base manip.





2. Step 2 was to focus on getting the details right, like setting the right tone, skin color, adjusting shadows and saturation. the most important part of it was adding the right effect and grunge to make it look a bit sketchy. It needed working on right amount of shading and use of strokes to get the desired effect.



3. Step 3 was adding proper filters and color gradients to match the theme of the fic i.e. Christmas. Created a color mix of red, yellow, green, snow white and blue tint and applied it as "Color Splash". Adjusted the warmth and clarity. The author wanted the final product to look like a Christmas card so I blended the image with "paper distort" to make it look as if it's printed/drawn on a card.



4. Step 4 was to add the font. the author wanted the title to be in bold so she wanted it to look modern. I added the white neon shadow to the text so that it could be highlighted between the color scheme of the image. I used the "Aladin" font for the title and used the red color with black border to reflect the passionate love between the brothers. then proceeded to add a blur border to the image so I could give it a look of an old frame photo.



5. Step 5 was to finally add a frame to the image and add a little heart decorator at the bottom left corner which I had to create using tools out of designs available on the store. that's how the final image was ready.
