I enjoyed this quite a lot. It's sad, but it has to be, doesn't it.

This love is him knowing the real names of all the stars, that all the stars are suns and most of the suns are dead, and she still sees constellations, still marvels at all the possibilities. This love is all the ways it will never work.

That line is beautiful.

Beautifully written. This is an Eleven/Amy I can believe. This is the only Eleven/Amy I can believe.

Thank you! I believe in at least a dozen Eleven/Amys, but I'm glad this one worked for you.

Thank you! And oh, it doesn't always have to be sad, have hope, you never know. Those two, seriously. <3.

This was lovely, I was waiting for a good reimagining of the Doctor and Amy's relationship after Rory and you've just nailed it on the head.
With the Doctor regretful and confused and sad, just oh.
And Amy loving the Doctor in that simple way she does, somewhere between a child's idolatry and a women's affection, is just heart wrenching when we now that she's already made her choice.
*sigh*
All in all, a wonderful read :D

Thank you! And dgmw, I do think Amy's one of the smarter cookies we've had for companions, but like you say she's still that little girl waiting for her imaginary friend. And all this in a family show! Lol dr who.

Oh completely, Amy's a complete grown up in everything that hasn't got anything to do with the Doctor!
Yes, but here's hoping the children don't see the subtext us fangirls do :D

Oh thank you! I seem to have made people sadder than I intended. This is what happens when I try to write comedies.

WELL. This is exactly what I wanted/needed to read in an Eleven/Amy fic. The darkness and the love and the guilt. (P.S. Your writing is amazing, jeeeeeeeez.)

HEY DID YOU KNOW your postings on the amazingness of how terrible the Doctor is inspired me to write this. I wish I'd waited until I'd watched "The Lodger" before I finished writing bc dear. Lord. He is so creepy and inappropriate, ILH.
