Oh, Tom. So glad you wrote an entire chapter about him. There was never enough Tom fic online :)

She thought back to times sitting next to each other on London benches. Had she imagined his look, that suggestion of something more?
I think I shipped it at some point! Then again I shipped Tom with pretty much everyone.

I had forgotten until I started ficing and then I remembered that I shipped them in s2.

I actually can't wait to re-watch those early series!

I don't know. In later series they brought Ruth back with this mental melodramatic story to give her angst, but now I write this fic, I realise the angst was always there. Weird. Oh Ruth. I always loved her so.

I saw Ruth's angstier eps (post-Danny and S8) before I saw her early days s2 eps. What breaks my heart is how hopeful and enthusiastic she is at first, and how it keeps getting downhill from there :(

I know! It's heartbreaking. She was such a wonderful character- such the beating heart, alongside Zoe, imo.

Zoe might be who I identified with the most in the entire show. Zoe feels forever!

Yes. She was a wonderful character. Her and Danny and their alcohol in tea cups. I never got over them leaving!
