hey all,
Just letting you know that as of September 17th, I’ll be working on the Exotic plant management team in northern California. I’ll work 8-9 weeks at Redwood National and State Parks, 8-9 weeks at Whiskytown National Recreation Area and 4 weeks at Lassen Volcanic National Park. it should be fun, especially since I’ve never seen that part of California, except what I saw off highway 5 several years ago.
I originally had plans to make a slow trek home via a roundabout route that would allow me to visit badlands and Yellowstone national parks, but instead, I’ll probably be zipping back on highway 40 through TN, OK, and the panhandle of TX. That will still take 4-5 days of driving during the sunny hours of the day; if I have car trouble, it could easily take 8-9 days. I imagine I’ll want to take 2 days to drive up into northern California, so that means 11 of my 16 not-employed days will be filled. Anyways, I just thought I’d spread the word, in case anyone wanted to see me in that time.
