Product Placement

Apr 28, 2008 20:41

In retail it is very important to place products in the area of your retail outlet that would serve them the best; or drive them as an impulse buy. This is why you find candy bars, sodas and gift cards at the checkout isles of your supermarket and why you’ll find coolers by the frozen food, grill supplies near the butcher section etc etc.

Obviously somebody forgot to tell this CVS store Kate and I visited about the importance of where you place items. Somehow I think these not only shouldn’t be sold near each other, but in fact they kind of conflict with one another.
