Mercy mission
For the past several nights now I've heard a cat crying out in the alley behind my building. Each night I hear these cries, I take a little kitty kibble, fresh water and a small, tupperware to use as a makeshift dish and leave it out for him. To give you an idea it's 11F tonight before any windchill. Hopefully in a few days I'll be able to catch and get him to a warm shelter. Failing that, the two night doormen I know have both heard him cry and while both feel bad at least one has offered to keep him in the basement if I can get a hold of him.
He's got fresh kibble now and hopefully in a day or two a warm roof, too.
