"Charley!" The Doctor... or a third of him, at any rate, bounces over, grabbing the girl's hands to spin her around. "I didn't know you were here too!"
She blinks at this... enthusiastic newcomer. There's something rather off about him... but he calls her Charley without her even needing to tell him so. She likes that. And the spinning. She finds she rather likes that, too. She can't help but give the man a broad, cheerful smile.
Oh, yay! Charley is smiling! That's good. That must mean that the not-any-fun-at-all part of himself isn't around. Good. That part isn't any fun at all. Even less fun than the boring part, which is saying something. "When did you get here, Charley? You haven't been here as long as we have, have you? Is C'rizz around? You know, I still haven't found out what an Obelat looks like."
Mila doesn't know who this person is, but they obviously know her... or, well, know Charley. She may as well play along. After all, she is Charley now, isn't she? She giggles at the thought, matching the newcomer for good cheer.
"You have? It's wonderful around here, Charley! I'll have to show you around. Anything you could ever dream of to see is here. It's just the most ... well, the most wonderful place ever!" As he speaks he rocks back and forth on his feet slightly, grinning like a kid who got a pony for Christmas.
"Oh!" The Doctor says suddenly. "I don't suppose you're from a different universe than me, are you? Tell me, where are you now? What's happening? Oh no wait, don't tell me, that might not end so well, you know? If you're from further along than I am."
A pause. "Ohhhhh but I am curious. Maybe a little. I'll keep it secret from my other selves."
Other selves? What a very curious person. And Mila didn't know anyone curiouser than...
"Doctor?"
She didn't know this Doctor. But he knew Charley? Oh, she always knew there was something strange about that girl! Something wrong! And here it was, in a mish-mashed tangle of time-lines. Oh, Charlotte Pollard, you were such a very bad little girl.
Mila, of course, would be better. A better Charley than Charley! She giggles, smiling up at this strange new Doctor. Her Doctor. All hers now, no need to share him with some silly little girl.
"It is simply wonderful to see you again, Doctor. And I'd love to see more of this place. Can we explore?"
She did love exploring and knew the Doctor did, too. And if she hadn't quite answered his question, well... exploring!
"Explore?" he repeats, then laughs. "Charley Charley Charley Charley, what else are we doing to do around here?"
He giggles, twirling her around again. It's fun, and he's been stuck in this Nexus place for so very long without either of his companions! Just himselfs for company. Himselves? No, not himselves, that implies there's more than one of him. Well, there were lots of Doctors, but that's not what he'd meant. Himselfs.
"We could start out going that way," he points. "It's where I'd been planning on going before I spotted you. You know, it has just occurred to me that you could even be from before I am, in which case I really should stop talking about things. Who all is currently traveling with us when you are?"
Oh, this is fun. Mila giggles, and giggling, too, is fun. She spins and... Oh. Oh. What's this feeling? It's almost like she's falling, even though she knows she's not. She gropes in her mind for a word, a description for this unfamiliar physical sensation.
Finally, still spinning and quite out of breath, she places it. "Dizzy..."
She comes to an abrupt halt, rather falling into the Doctor. She leans against him as she watches the whole room spinning around her, even though she's still. How very, very strange, these side-effects of having an actual body. Well, she's sure she'll get used to it again eventually.
Mila glances up at the Doctor, only just now registering his question. Her voice is quite matter of fact when she states, "Oh, well, just you and I, of course."
She figures that can't get her in too much trouble.
"You have to watch out," the Doctor tells her. "Spinning can make you dizzy. Maybe we should stop then, I don't want you getting sick or anything."
And so he lets go of one of her hands and begins to take off, happily bouncing in the direction he had indicated earlier.
"Just the two of us then? Have you met someone named C'rizz yet?" The Doctor asks this, of course, because with a reply like the one she gave it could be before the horrible, terrible Divergent Universe, or it could be some time after it. C'rizz leaving before Charley is definitely a possibility. The Doctor rather suspects Charley will be with him for much longer than C'rizz anyway.
For a moment, Mila clings to the Doctor in an attempt to stay upright. But sans spinning, she observes the world around her sliding to a slow halt with a sort of detachment, tilting her head staring wide-eyed at the scene unfolding. The room is still again and she looks up at the Doctor, smiling like a child might after opening a particularly exquisite birthday present.
As he runs off, she follows him at an awkward run -- no stride quite matching the Doctor's bounding gait. But it's good, still, to be with the Doctor, to hold his hand. She wonders what's happened to cause him to regenerate into this -- cheerful, flighty, always smiling -- but she can't protest. He's the Doctor, of course, and he's lovely, as he always is.
The Doctor stops abruptly. "Ah, so you haven't met C'rizz yet then. You must be from my past then!"
He says it rather like somebody might say, 'You brought candyfloss to share!' or 'You have a bouncy castle for us to play in!' A sentence like that wouldn't normally sound so happy coming from the Doctor, but, well, it's rather impossible for him to be anything but happy like this.
"Now I don't have to worry about you accidentally spoiling me to anything. But I do have to be careful, I guess. If I can be. I'm really not sure who ended up with the ability to be careful. I think it was probably the boring one."
"Well I could explain it all to you," he says, laughing. "But since you haven't had it happen yet it would be spoiling! Are you hungry? I think I just found a candy bar in my pocket and I'm not going to eat it."
More with the giggling -- but Mila couldn't help it with the Doctor is acting so very silly. Really, what had gotten into him?
At the mention of candy, she peers at him, head tilted curiously. "I should think not. Who knows how long that may have been there. And, really, what all do you keep in those pockets?"

Breathlessly, "Oh, hello!"

"I've only just arrived, myself."

Clearly not this one, anyway.

Her voice is cautious, uncertain. She's worried for him. Even for the Doctor, meeting an old (new?) friend, this level of babbling is... odd.
"You're talking nonsense."
Reply
"I'm not talking nonsense! It makes perfect sense."

That and giggling is just good fun.
She smiles at him, half honest amusement and half humoring.
"Oh, Doctor... not unless we have different definitions of 'sense,' I think. Which... well, we might, come to that."
