This has now come up twice at The Anonymous Feedback Post so I thought I'd address it 'in public'.

One person asked 'I personally would really appreciate a deadline on the voting.' and another asked 'So I'm just wondering if you could let us know the time you set aside to let voting occur or if you don't do that please do.' Although asked for different reasons and phrased differently they basically come down to the same question, they'd like a set voting period or voting deadline.

This is how I look at it. When there is a decent amount of votes, there is a clear result, everybody who has entered and whose icons are placing has voted and I've got the time to post the winners, I post the winners. If there are not enough votes, there is not a clear result, some people still need to vote or I'm at work, voting takes longer. Basically voting can take up to 4-5 days, worst case scenario, but in most cases 24-48 hours is enough. I think there are too many variables to set a voting deadline unless I set it at 5 days and I think most people don't want to wait that long. I know I don't want to wait that long.

Last but not least, I have quite an erratic RL/work schedule and this is what works best for me. I've already got set days to post the votings, the new challenges, the last reminders. I don't want to add set days for posting the winners to the list.

Feel free to leave feedback on The Anonymous Feedback Post if you haven't done so already, or post a comment here. :)
