Dye Question

Aug 13, 2011 20:19

I recently bought a tweed jacket for a 11th doctor costume. Once I got it home it's more grey than tan. Because it's a light color I'm thinking about buying some RIT dye and trying to fix it. His isn't very dark so it wont take 50 times dying it to get it dark enough. I was wondering if anyone has tried this. If so what color do you recommend? I've used RIT dye before, but it's been a very long time. Does anyone have any advice or warnings before I start. It's crossed my mind to keep looking for a reasonably priced jacket, but I'm over weight and the selection in my size/price range is limited... besides I like the pattern of the one I bought. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
