River pant question (might be spoilers)

So the pants that River wears in The Big Bang have no back pockets and are made out of what looks like a heavy knit. Heavy-ish. I found a pant that looks very much like her pants but they have a seam with contrasting stitching across the butt. Argh. Other than that they look PERFECT. Or--should I tailor down a pair of somewhat thick (not flimsy,

If removing the contrast stitching no way damages the pants, sounds like a good plan. A photo would help though.

Went back to the site and they were gone. I got the last pair, it looks like. If they fit at all will post a pic with me in them when they arrive.

I posted awhile back what I did, which was a plain pair of brown leggings. However, by how the fabric sits on her, I would say they are modified riding pants, or pants made by costuming out of riding pant material. They are a darkish brown and are thicker than just leggings but skin tight, thus they have to be riding pants. I plan on sewing some for Dragon*Con out of such material and sewing the black ribbon on it. I did iron hem tape ribbon but movement and stretchy pants do not help it stay on. So whatever ribbon you do is best sewn on.
