I was at Gallifrey One this past weekend and am dying to see pictures of ya'll in costume for those that went. (I was dressed as John Hart for a couple of hours each day as I only brought the one costume and wanted one-day-pass folks to be able to see it ( Read more... )

Ahahaa, I'm so glad it worked out all right. We came up with it literally about 30 mins before we went on!! XDXD Thank you!

I was quite impressed how quickly you must have put together your costume! XD

The boots took about a half-day to make. The jeans and yellow shirt I bought at a thrift store and a pal lent me the firearms. The red jacket itself was actually a thrift store find. I added the black cuffs, sewed down the collar to square it off, and spent about 7 hours on Thursday sewing the cord on the front (not perfectly, but enough for people to get the character...I plan on removing it and re-doing it).

All in all, it cost me about 40 bucks to make the costume (more when I get the proper trim), and I need to buy a proper wig. It took approximately 20 hours of work (...when I wasn't getting distracted by shiny things...) to finish.

squee, you have steven in his 10 costume. Hope you had fun at the con, I was doing Owen with my torchwood people which hopefully people got pics of and will post eventually.

Yay! Those were quite fun costumes. I'd love to organize a Torchwood photoshoot next year for those that bring a costume for it. I have an evil plan in mind for building a backdrop for said photos...
