Hello,

I wanted to get everyones opinion. I know there are a lot jacket threads out there and I have the chance to read through most of them. There are so many members who make amazing jackets. So I wanted to know which jacket would people purchase between:

TSSY2005 (being recomemned as the best low price option)

Aha, I'm one who's recomemned, uh, recommended Tssy2005's faux suede coat for the following reasons; it's faux suede material like the original, an acceptably close color (which looks a little more like "brown sugar" than "camel hair",) with correct "Tardis blue" satin lining, the details on the back featuring the darts, pleat and vent are quite right, it's a lightweight coat overall so it's not unbearable to wear over a suit indoors or on warm days for long, and it's quite inexpensive ( ... )

Not to hijack this post, but I think this is a good place to ask about:

does anyone know how tssy2005's coats are made? I once read (somewhere on here, I think) that someone had a concern over possible sweatshop labour being used to produce custom cosplay items from China... I've been considering a tssy2005 coat myself, but that's the only thing holding me back. I wouldn't want to support unfair working practices.

I always think of that line whenever I discuss fair trade. My insistence on not buying from companies that use sweatshops (or are suspected to) sometimes makes it difficult for me to cosplay... for example, for my Ten outfit, I'm looking for a pair of Chuck Taylors made before 2003 - the year Nike bought out Converse and moved the shoe factories from the US to countries with fewer laws protecting their workers.

sorry not yelling at you lol :) yelling at flippin abby, i emailed them THREE BLOODY years ago! seriously. told them about ten's coat etc..and long story short it was "in production" was even getting emails from a couple of cool guys...then it got all "mysterious" and then ..nothing. i gave up. never saw any posts from the blog (which i quit) and i stopped looking at the site. grrr so NOW They come out with it when he's leaving?? :(

anyways....lol like i said not mad at ya lol glad you posted this, am gonna go check it out. although i'm sure i CANT afford the thing. wish icould just get someone to make it lol. i've heard others buy the coat from the chinese company and weren't too happy but not too disappointed either. good luck :) let us know what you got :)

just loooked at abby shot WOW! it's cheaper than i thought. i'm definately buying it lol :)
i'm glad you posted this, like i said i had NO idea this was out. gonna save my money and buy it, especially now that ten is gonna be gone :(
