Ace Picspam and Reference Project
In trying to track down and identify the various and sundry patches and pins on Ace's infamous bomber jacket for a friend's last minute Gallifrey One costume, I've collected a healthy collection of reference pics and possible matches, and figured I'd share them. If anyone else has had any finds of their own that would be marvelous, there was a very good Ace at this year's comicon who I didn't get the chance to speak to, so I know some people have done the costume.
Various ref of Ace's costumes,
First of all, the Challenger patch, which is easily available through several online suppliers, as well as the Columbia and the Gibson-Bolden patches.
EDIT: Sorry, my mistake, that's not the Columbia badge, it's this one.
These are her largest patches, and the most recognisable, the smaller circular patch above the Challenger one I haven't been able to identify, but something like this could be considered an acceptable substitute,
I ahven't found the roofing co. patch or the tennis racket like patch on her shoulder, but the soccer ball is an easy one, and the BSA shoulder patch was also found, unfortunately it only appears to ship to the UK,
As for pins, Ace also wears a camel pin, a space shuttle, an american flag,a harley davidson pin, a guitar, two blue and white shields, a thunderbirds pin, and two cards pins. The below is what appears to be the exact, or the closest replica to the originals I could find.
(EDIT: These are blue peter badges actually, but that considereing, two of the above with a bit of paint would do quite nicely I think)
That still leaves a whole lot of patches and badges and such I couldn't identify or find, so, if anyone has any information that would be excellent, hope I helped!
