Rose Tyler, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
or “Doctor Who Costuming From Your Closet!”
I’d noticed that my blue sweater looks a lot like Rose’s before, and when The Mercury announced a Doctor Who pre-Halloween night, I knew I could put together an outfit without buying anything. I was almost right!
Clothing:
The sweater was a Christmas gift two or three years ago. The tag reads “Alp”, and while the pattern isn’t quite right, the color and fit is pretty close to Rose’s. The slacks are from EXPRESS, and are charcoal instead of black. The boots are a bit too high-heeled. The shirt I did buy, but everyone needs a black scoopneck t-shirt, and it’s going to be part of my Desire costume as well. The labcoat I already had; this one is my “fashion” labcoat, as opposed to my practical one that I wear in lab.
Makeup:
This is where I spent money. The hair is from a spraycan, and is slightly metallic. I was pretty happy with how it came out; it’s not natural, clearly, but Rose is obviously dyed. The eyes were a totally new look for me, and took a while to get used to. I used a pretty shell pink color of loose eyeshadow, and lots of mascara and black eyeliner. The blush is another bright pink color. The lipstick is one I already had, a nice pink. (Sensing a theme yet?) I wore a metric tonne of “Jailbait” perfume from BPAL. It seemed like a Rose sort of scent.
Have some more photos: with some “psychic paper” I grabbed off my desk, with the labcoat, and of course up against the wall. (Played by my bathroom door.)
And photos from the club: at the TARDIS console, sneering at some daleks, and flirting with the Doctor.
This was the best-dressed and most in-character of all the Tens, and I squee’d when I saw he’d done the sonic-to-lips thing.

retcon as Nine. He had to grow his hair out for this!
There was a Four, a Five, a Seven, a Nine, and a handful of Tens, one of each Master (I believe, including Yana), plus a Susan, two Roses including me, a Peri, a Romana II, some gas mask zombies, an Astrid, and more.
