Many Amy alts and some Clara alts
Hi everyone! I'm sort of making a mass post here because the internet where I've been staying at for the past two weeks has been very rude. (And when it wasn't being rude, Livejournal WAS.) I hope these finds will be of help!
First, some finds from Primark. Pictures only because they don't have an online store:
Alternate TPO/TOBB scarf
I bought this because the color is much more screen-accurate than my dayglo-red Old Navy scarf, and it looks much less prone to shedding bits of fiber all over my clothes. I believe it was about 8 pounds.
(They also have black skinny jeans that will work for this costume as well, and they don't appear to be going off sale any time soon.)
Alternate for Clara's Urban Outfitters space dye dress
It doesn't have the high-low hem on the skirt, but whatcha gonna do. The color and neckline look good, as do the sleeve length, but they'll be under a cardigan anyway.
Now on to other things:
New Look Random Theory Black Leather Waterfall Jacket
Pros: It's basically an exact match for the Oasis jacket.
Cons: It retails for 119.99 pounds and is online-only.
Forever 21 Essential 3/4 Sleeve Striped Top
Not a bad alt for the Dinosaurs on a Spaceship Reiss jumper, IMHO. It has the same type of neckline, the sleeves and the hem hit at the right spots, and it's blue-and-white striped. It's not cable-knit, though. I don't think I've seen it on the US Forever 21 site, either.
Forever 21 Hearts & Stars Stud Set
For anyone who'd really like some star earrings to complete their series 5 Amy Pond costumes. Unfortunately, these also don't appear to be available on the US site.
Forever 21 Lacquered Accent Pyramid Studs
They seem to make a good alt for Clara's Urban Outfitters earrings. In a flip-flop, do not appear to be available on the UK site.
Forever 21 Ruched 3/4 Sleeve Blazer
For anyone wanting to make an Amy's Choice or The Lodger costume. Subtle variations on this blazer pop up on a fairly frequent basis, but does not appear to be available on the UK site.
