So, ages back I talked about this awesome fabric I found to make the shirt, I took pictures when I got it and everything. And then it promptly sat and remained just fabric for a VERY LONG TIME. Well, I did finally make the shirt in time for SDCC and will be bringing it to DCon as well. So I figured I could at least show you guys how it turned out, right?
This was an in-progress shot. I hated the sleeves, hated them. In the end, they came out a bit puffier than I wanted them too, but otherwise pretty good. But making them SUCKED.
Completed shirt.
Annnd a couple if in-action shots taken by
another_myself at SDCC right after we got things signed by the cast (!!!!!) Karen was so awesome when I walked up in it, she went "I have an AMY!" and I will treasure that forever. I was, however, too star struck to ask wtf the shirt actually was in the show, which I had meant to. But this is an improvement over when I saw Gareth David Lloyd and walked into a door, so we'll call it progress.
FINAL THOUGHTS: I think it's a bit dark in artificial light, but works pretty well in sunlight. Also, making shirts sucks. If you want to see my initial post on the subject from back in, god, SEPTEMBER, it's
here.
