Last saturday we had the first Doctor Who convention in Brazil. It was a really fun day and we discovered our fandom is larger than we ever imagined. Doctor Who is being broadcast here since April and the fans started having small local gatherings last year so everything is really new for us

Wow it's lovely to see so much fan love and costume creativity is thriving high and mighty in brazil! I keep thinking Doctor who is mainly a US/UK/Canada phenomenon but clearly the show has gone very global! Awesome.

Question...when DW is shown in Brazil is it shown with Portuguese dubbed in or in English with subtitles?

It's dubbed, with optional original audio but without subtitles.

It's dubbed but we also can buy Series 1 dvd, the only option being English with Portuguese subtitles.
I love the fact they are showing Doctor Who dubbed, now we have lots of children in the fandom! They are so cute.
