The 2012 MASQUERADE OF MANDRAGORA is on Saturday night at 8:30pm. Jennifer Adams Kelley, program director of ChicagoTARDIS and member of dw_cosplay, is once again our Masquerade Director. Veteran emcees Tadao "Mr. Shake Hands Man" Tomomatsu and Patrick Beckstead are once again our masters of ceremonies. And this year, instead of the "Just a Minute" event which is taking a year off, we are pleased to welcome as our Masquerade half-time entertainment none other than celebrated British comedian Charlie Ross, making his North American debut at Gallifrey 2012. Charlie's comedy shows are *legendary* at UK Doctor Who conventions, and he's bringing his show on the road to this year's event for the first time on our shores.
Meanwhile, the Costumers Guild West has been in touch with us to discuss several things, including participating in the Cosplay Hall and Masquerade. We have also been working behind the scenes to hopefully have some really cool stuff in the Cosplay Hall (again thanks to Bob). More details on that hopefully soon.
We have four simultaneous program tracks in nice, big rooms -- the complete tentative schedule will be online this coming weekend. And there will be TONS of costuming at the convention, we expect - plenty for everyone to enjoy.
We hope you can all be with us... check out
http://www.gallifreyone.com of course for complete con information. Pre-registration closes on January 31 (but you can always register at the door, too!) See you all there!
