Amazing River Song Criollo Boots Alternative and Amy Stab Vest advice
Hey guys! I am quite new here and about to embark on my first foray into cosplay next week at Armegeddon in Melbourne. You all do an amazing job with your costumes. :D
Anyway I was out searching for alternative boots for River Song's DotM outfit because there is no way I can get my hands on the real ones before Armegeddon next week. Anyway I was thinking I would have to settle for something that looked partially in the same game as those boots when lo' and behold I stumbled across these and nearly had a heart attack.

They are an amazingly close match to the original Criollo boots. (The only notable difference being they zip the full length of the boot and the buckles are a brassy gold not silver.) They are the same colour as the All Saints Anina Belt and the buckles the same colour as the belts studs so they match perfectly! What's more is that they were in a factory clearance store so I got them for only $30 when their original price was $259.95! I would be willing to look out for another pair if anyone is interested.
Also for those who are are searching for a Kissogram stab vest but are finding that they are a bit too expensive from surplus stores on ebay, or if you live in Australia and can't have anything ballistic items shipped I have a suggestion. I was messaging a surplus store on ebay about getting a vest and ended up getting them to send me a vest without the inserts for a fraction of the price! So unless you plan to actually use the vest for it's original purpose I suggest you try asking about that option. :D
