we all go through school with the same people, we grow together, age together, and learn together, but after high school, what happens to all the words, time, and memories shared together. The longer I am out of high school the more I notice that those same friends whom we swore would "never forget each other no matter what" seem to drift further and further away. We could use any sort of excuse to justify this, "we're so busy" "we live so far away." but maybe most often, but least spoken "we don't care."

so the question goes to state, why do we lose contact to those whom have helped ot shape our lives? have we lied our ways through high school friendships in order to not rock the boat, maybe attempting to prevent some type of hostility in grade school, or are we just fickle individuals, denying our promises and vows to friendship forever in exchange for our own extra time.

Maybe I'm alone in this one, alone in still hoping to hold together ties that long ago came loose, maybe I didn't get the memo, and I'm supposed to just forget all of you that touched my life through my school years. or maybe, just maybe, we're all victims of "out of sight, out of mind" philosophy.
